Monet Goyon van motorfiets naar cycelcar

Joseph Monet en Adrian Goyon stichten in Mâcon (F) in 1917 een fabriek waar ze motorfietsen, tricycles en daarna vanaf 1924 automobielen produceren. Tijdens de Nationale Oldtimerdag presenteert Daniël de Jong een zeldzame Monet Goyon Type VM1 uit 1924. Een cyclecar (350 cc) die destijds 5.500 Franse Francs kostte. De auto heeft een formaat van 2.70 lang en 1.12 breed, heeft een houten bank met kussens, metalen spaakwielen, een neerklapbaar voorraam, twee koplampen met elektrische verlichting en een volledig uitgeruste gereedschapskist. De motor levert 6 pk. en een snelheid van maximaal 50 km. per uur. Dit model is slechts twee jaar in productie geweest.
